Pham Hoang Mien (Vietnam)
Travel Blogger
I’m originally from Ninh Binh, a small city about 100km south of the capital, Hanoi, but I have been living in Hanoi since the age of 6. Then in 2009 I had my first trip out of Vietnam to Wroclaw, a beautiful city in western Poland for an internship with a student organization called AIESEC and I had an amazing time! Since then I started to get myself engaged in a travel life and have been enjoying going out of Hanoi to try living in different cities, such as New Delhi in 2010 (with another AIESEC internship) and Ho Chi Minh City in 2011-2012. I believe that travel is not about spending several days in a place, going to tourists’ attractions, taking pictures and then leaving, but travel is about staying among the local people, living their life and experiencing their culture. My dream is to be able to live in as many different places as possible in the rest of my life. I also wish to see a world without discrimination as desired in Scorpions’ “Wind of Change”: “The world is closing in. |
